Swan Valley Anglican Community School has marked a significant milestone with the School’s 20th Anniversary Ceremony. The event coincided with the official opening of The Collaboration and Creativity Centre, alongside the Performing Arts Centre and Humanities Building, making the occasion particularly meaningful for the entire community.
More than 50 invited guests attended the celebration, joined by staff and students from Years 3 to 12. The new facilities were formally blessed by The Right Reverend Kate Wilmot, Assistant Bishop of the Diocese of Perth, and officially opened by Mrs Lynne Thomson, Chair of the AngliSchools Board.
The occasion was characterised by a strong sense of pride and connection, highlighting both the School’s achievements to date and its aspirations for the future. While the new facilities represent an important investment in contemporary learning environments, the spirit of connection and shared celebration was a defining feature of the day.
The ceremony also provided an opportunity to reflect on the School’s remarkable journey over the past two decades. From modest beginnings, the School has grown into a vibrant and thriving community of over 1,500 students, with every indication that this growth will continue in the years ahead.
This progress has been guided by the School’s enduring commitment to their culture of Commitment, Compassion, Excellence, Inclusion, Resilience, and Respect, which continue to shape its direction and the educational experience of its students.
During the celebration, gratitude was expressed to the many individuals and groups whose vision, leadership and dedication have contributed to the School’s development. Guests responded warmly to the occasion, with many commenting on the welcoming atmosphere and the outstanding character of the students.
As Swan Valley Anglican Community School enters its third decade, the new facilities serve as a powerful symbol of the School’s ongoing commitment to growth, innovation and connection, supporting opportunities for students to collaborate, create and thrive into the future.
