A dedicated group of 24 students from Kindergarten to Year 11 proudly represented Trinity Anglican College at the 2025 NSW Regional Interschools Snowsports Championships, held at Falls Creek from 28–31 July.
Across four days of competition, the Trinity students competed in a wide range of disciplines, including Alpine and Snowboard Giant Slalom, Ski Cross, Snowboard Cross, and Moguls.
The event opened with the Amelia McGuiness Foundation Time Trial, an inclusive warm-up that welcomed both students and adults to the course. Several Trinity parents joined in, competing in the ‘golden oldies’ division. From there, students faced a full program of racing and freestyle events, facing challenging weather conditions and fast-paced courses.
In an exceptional outcome, the Trinity team brought home 37 medals, with podium finishes in nearly every division entered. These achievements reflect the growing strength of Trinity’s Snowsports program and the dedication of its young athletes.
Beyond the results, the championships highlighted strong camaraderie across year levels, with senior and junior students alike encouraging and supporting one another. Staff leaders Mrs Sarah Culligan and Mr Jarrod Monaghan praised the team’s unity, resilience, and positive attitude, noting how remarkable the achievements were given the boutique size of the squad compared to larger schools.
Several Trinity students have now qualified for the NSW Interschools State Championships, where they will compete at the next level.
