St James’ Anglican School will expand its Trade Centre as part of plans to accommodate growing enrolments and strengthen vocational learning opportunities.

Construction on the extension is scheduled to begin in March and is expected to take six to seven months to complete. The project will add new teaching spaces and specialist facilities designed to support the School’s expanding programs.

The development will include four new General Learning Areas, providing flexible classrooms that can be used across a range of subjects. Specialist facilities will also be added, including a dedicated woodwork space with a spray booth and a commercial kitchen to support hospitality programs.

The new facilities will allow students to learn in environments that more closely reflect industry standards and help prepare them for further training, apprenticeships and employment.

The project will also include a new 55-bay car park aimed at improving access to the campus and easing traffic flow.

St James’ Anglican School expects enrolments to reach around 1,300 students this year. The Trade Centre expansion forms part of broader planning to ensure the School’s facilities keep pace with enrolment growth and evolving learning needs.

The new spaces are expected to open later in the year.
