Living in Australia
01

Western Australia

Western Australia is the largest Australian state. Ten of our schools are located in the city of Perth, the state capital. Perth is a beautiful city that is surrounded by suburbs that stretch across a vast coastal plain, fringed by the ocean and the hills. Did you know that Perth is: – the capital of the largest state in Australia? – home to over two million people? – famous for its beaches, clean air and sunny days? – the fastest growing state capital in Australia? We also have schools located in rural areas, including Busselton and Esperance in the south-west of Western Australia. Wherever you are based, warm weather and clean air means that you can enjoy a year-round outdoor lifestyle and explore the natural beauty and attractions that the state of Western Australia has to offer!

Victoria

Victoria’s diverse landscape includes snow-capped mountains, vast seashores and charming towns. The state capital,  Melbourne, is a safe and vibrant city with excellent culture, environment and infrastructure as well as a wide range of study options and services.  Did you know that Melbourne is: – consistently rated in the world’s most liveable cities? – home to nearly five million people? – famous for its laneways and culture?  Our schools in Victoria are located in the regional cities of Cobram, Shepparton and Wangaratta. These are well-serviced, contemporary cities that are student and family friendly. They offer both a relaxed lifestyle and world-class education. These cities often have lower housing costs, active community and sports organisations, easy access to natural attractions and multiple transport options for visits to Melbourne and other parts of Victoria.

New South Wales

New South Wales is home to world-class schools, universities, research organisations and vocational education and training institutions. Sydney, the state capital, is perhaps the Australian city that is most easily recognised, with its iconic landmarks, including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.  Did you know Sydney is:  – a city with a large proportion of its population born overseas? – famous for its coastal beaches, including Bondi? – located within a short drive of stunning wilderness areas and national parks?  Our school in New South Wales is located in Albury, a large city in a charming, regional setting. The city is modern, safe and student-friendly. You can fly directly to Albury from Melbourne, Sydney or the Gold Coast.

Student Welfare

‘Our commitment to the wellbeing of our students ensures that we are with them every step of the way. From orientation, through their academic journey, to graduation, my primary role is to ensure that our international students are well supported in every respect.’

Mr Leigh MacPherson  – Student Services and Homestay Coordinator

Before you arrive

Even before you leave home, we will reach out with pre-departure information to ensure that you are fully prepared for the journey that you are about to undertake! You may be feeling a mix of excitement and nerves – and that’s completely normal! We will provide information and key contacts to help ensure that your transition to Australia is as smooth as possible.

When you arrive

Welcome to Australia! We can arrange a transfer from the airport to your accommodation, if required. If you are heading for a homestay, your hosts have been trained to provide you with the support you need to help you settle in. We will invite you to our Orientation Day when you can meet the members of our team who will support your journey, as well as other international students. We will also conduct a Cultural Immersion Program that will introduce you to life in Australia. This will help you to adjust to your new surroundings and ensure that you are feeling comfortable, safe and secure at all times!

After arrival

Your school will be expecting you and will be looking forward to meeting you! Each of our schools is welcoming and inclusive, and has successfully hosted other international students in the past. We will make sure that you have everything you need to get started in your new school. Our Student Services and Homestay Coordinator will visit you regularly throughout each term to ensure that you are feeling settled and that you are making progress in your studies. You are welcome to reach out to us at any time to discuss any issues or concerns that you may have. It is important to know that help is here whenever you need it and that you are never alone.
